Whakatane District Council is proposing a change to section 6.3.4 of the Waste Management and Minimisation Plan 2021 Action Plan. The change would allow a portion of the Council’s waste disposal levy funding to be used to support the household kerbside recycling collection service, which could help reduce the amount currently funded through targeted rates.
